* Regular hours - Monday - Thursday = 8:00a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Each sample requiring dilution will have a $10.00 charge added for each dilution necessary to obtain reportable results. Local Contractors and other Business's may pay a $20.00 minimum monthly fee to hold a charge account with the City of Elko Laboratory. Q: Where is the City lab located?

A: At the Wastewater Treatment Plant in the Administration Building.

Q: What types of tests can I have done on drinking water**?
|
A: Locally we test for the bacteria that meet the guidelines for the Safe Drinking Water Act including total Coliform and E-Coli.

Q: How can I get my water tested?
|
A: You will need to pick up a container from the lab anytime and return the water sample Monday - Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Q: How long does it take to get results?
|
A: 24 to 48 hours
|
** Other drinking water tests will need to be sent to a commercial laboratory.
