The Storefront Improvement Grant

Eligible Properties: The program focuses on eligible properties located within the designated Redevelopment area. These properties may be commercial or residential,  and the program aims to improve their storefronts or visual appearance.

Scope of Assistance: Property owners or tenants can access financial assistance through the Storefront Improvement Grant Program. The program provides funding to support various aspects of property improvement, including rehabilitation, conservation, and beautification efforts.

Visual Enhancement: The primary goal of the program is to enhance the visual appeal of eligible properties. This can involve activities such as façade improvements, exterior painting, signage enhancements and other visual enhancements that contribute to the property's aesthetics.

Beautification: Beautification efforts may include initiatives to make the property and its surroundings more attractive and welcoming. This can encompass landscaping improvements, the installation of public art, or other enhancements that beautify the area.

Application Process: Property owners or tenants interested in participating in the Storefront Improvement Grant Program typically need to go through an application process. This process may involve submitting a proposal outlining the planned improvements and the associated costs.  Applications are accepted January 1 through March 31.
