Bomb Unit
The Elko Bomb Squad is a collateral duty squad comprised solely of members of the Elko Police Department. They are part of the Northern Nevada Federal Task Force and are responsible for any hazardous devices and recovered explosives response for five counties in Northern Nevada; Elko County, Eureka County, White Pine County, Humboldt County, and Lander County. Elko Bomb Squad members are certified and receive continuous training at the Hazardous Devices School at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama.
